My wife and I were scheduled to spend three nights here but added an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. Pasang took great care of us and the kitchen staff cooked us amazing meals three times per day. Gokyo is cold but this place is well insulated so we stayed pretty warm at night.

This place really made our EBC trip comfortable. After hiking 8 hours, to come to a very large room with heated blankets, very hot showers, and warm and attentive staff made us feel very relaxed and content. Happy hour and dinner was very delicious! Would highly recommend staying here.

The Mountain view hotel was the best locations in Lukla which wasn't far from the town or any other amenities. The staff & guide (D Sherpa) was the most knowledgeable local guides & the staff made you most welcome & nothing was too hard to accomplish.I would recommend the fine hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Lukla.

The sister and brother who run this lodge are amazingly gracious and extremely helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, had a great view as well. The food was all made from scratch and was delicious. I rarely write reviews, but having had a past lifetime in the industry I know when the effort is there and these two newcomers to the hospitality industry are right on track.

This place really made our EBC trip memorable. The architecture of the hotel was better than any other place we stayed at during the trek. After hiking all day, to come to a very large room with heated blankets, very hot showers, and warm and attentive staff made us feel very relaxed and content. dinner was very delicious! Would highly recommend staying here.

I’m a former Lonely Planet author (books and their editions include Panama 1, Las Vegas 1, Dominican & Haiti 1, Yucatán 1, and one-third of Mexico 5). I’ve stayed at several thousand hotels. I have my favorites and among them is the Namgyal. It’s not only comfortable, with a wonderful dining room/hang out area, solar room, private bathrooms, hot showers (!!!) and delicious food—best veggie burger I’ve ever had, savory Sherpa stew and divine apple pie—but it’s a place you want to stay for two...
