This 3-star hotel should be rated 4-stars. Good location and the staff was excellent, the service was terrific. The room was great, clean, and comfortable. We had an ocean view from our room. The hotel restaurant the best food in the area, which was great. This is a much better option to stay here than the nearby “5-star” resorts. We were here for a week. We would definitely return if we were in the same area again. The host, Alexander, was pleasant and upbeat. He was easy to get along with and easy to communicate with. He even got us a taxi from the airport for less than the standard taxis outside the exit. The place was clean, no critters anywhere. The host goes out of his way to make you feel at ease and answered questions we didn't even know we had. Restaurants and shopping are walking distance away and some amazing snorkelling and baby shark sightings out past that Maui jetty. Their garden is spectacular and all done by hand and Dee's brewed coffee is better than even Cafe Planet's up the road. 10/10 will try again . Thank you Ken and Dee :)

Stayed at Uprisings for five days while visiting friends in Fiji. Small hotel, nice facilities right on the beach. Lovely staff, responsive to our needs, very welcoming. Convenient for bus travel from Nadi, trips to Suva. Organized activities readily available. Much smaller and more personable than the Pearl, which is just up the road. Note that Villa's have air con, garden Bures do not but we found the fan and open windows kept the bure cool and comfortable. We look forward to staying at...
