"Our 3-night stay at Sudima Kaikoura was initially off to a rocky start. We had earlier informed the hotel that we would be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary but there were no special arrangements made. As we settled in to wind down for the night, we were disappointed that the in-room TV was faulty. Duty Manager Adil personally came to try to rectify the issue. Upon finding it unfixable without further disturbing our rest, he offered us a new room with an ocean view.
Adil also saw to our requests with speed, initiative and demonstrated professional excellence when he greeted me by name.
We are grateful that Adil repeatedly went the extra mile for us. As such, we will reminisce our stay at Sudima Kaikoura with fondness."

"Te Mahuru is a most exceptional, beautiful, very clean and overall, a perfect place to stay. Jen went out of her way to be accommodating and we give thanks t the highest rating possible. The gardens and views were spectacular, the hot tubs were lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Homemade bread each morning and plenty of great choices. The patio off our room was very private and comfortable for sitting with a cup of tea gazing at the beautiful mountains in the background. Overall, this was our favorite place to stay on our trip. "
Wacky Stays

"If you have kids who would like to experience something new, loves farm animals and outdoors, this is the place. We stayed on October 24 on our last day in the south island. We were looking for something new and different and Wacky Stays delivered. It is not a brand new dwelling so please manage your expectations. The beds are comfortable and you can see the room was prepared with great care. We stayed at the Yurt/Gert. Our 8yo specially enjoyed the farm animal feedings which are done twice a day. Overall a good experience in our opinion."
