Hotels in Historic Center

Muy lindo hotel en el Centro Histórico de Santa Marta,as habitaciones, limpias y bonitas. La atención del personal fue inmejorable.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Alko Cotona. The bed was suuuuper comfortable, the room immaculately clean, location is perfect (right by main drag for eating and drinking as well as only a few minutes from the beach!) — rooftop pool and restaurant/bar also great, with a view of the ocean/marina on one side and the mountains on the other. Most importantly, the quality of service and hospitality at Alko Cotona hotel is truly outstanding. Every staff member I encountered went out of their way to make...

Hotel was great, located in historic part of Santa Marta, close to many good restaurants and Marina. The staff was very helpful but nobody spoke English, we had to use google translator.

A very comfortable room (we stayed in one with two queen beds) with a great air conditioner. The location is excellent -- very close to Parque de los Novios, but is on a quieter street that does not have the traffic and noise closer to the park. The room's large-screen TV offers a great selection of cable channels. We were also impressed with the breakfast -- a traditional Colombian meal of eggs, arepa, toast, and natural juice. You should really enjoy your Santa Marta experience if you stay...

Excelent spot in downtown Santa Marta. Restaurants are close by, theres an "EXITO" store; (mini walmart) 2 blocks away if you want to get supplies for your stay. Overall, the hotel was perfect for our stay!

Hotel is an oasis! Beautiful, boutique hotel. We struggled a little to communicate with the staff, but they were all incredibly friendly and the service was wonderful. The bathroom in the standard room is not separate, so you can see into the shower from the bed, regardless, comfortable, well-kept room.

Two friends and I stayed here before the Lost City trek. The hotel is beautiful, has a lovely rooftop deck serving delicious meals, is very well located and the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff is outstanding; they were not only friendly but incredibly helpful on our return from the trek. They called the airline for us to change flights, stored our luggage, and provided extensive advice. Couldn't be happier about this hotel and would stay again!

Great place, Only a walk away to restaurants and board walk. We had the pent house unit and if it was not for the wind we would have slept on the balcony! If I ever go back to Santa Marta I will visit this hotel again.

This is the 2nd time i’ve stayed here. I got suite #10 that has a private terrace and small pool. it was incredible and absolutely romantic. Great location, great breakfast and all the staff are wonderful!

Friendly... Old fashioned, antique rooms..

All staff super nice and helpful

A great simple hotel where you need it at the right price.

It was great

Close to beach and historic area.

El hotel es muy bonito y los planes que maneja el señor de los Toures son excelentes. Recomendado

The property was renewed about 6 years ago according to the staff, but it seems pretty new, the disadvantages are the lift there is only 1 and is really slow. The breakfast is good option, and the view from the pool is nice!
