"This was our first time visiting Lille and I wanted a hotel that was fairly central to the places that we would be visiting, would be suitable for my mother and sister, included breakfast and was not too expensive. The Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre by IHG was therefore absolutely perfect for our needs. The reception area is bright, clean and welcoming. All the members of staff that we encountered during our stay were kind, polite and very helpful. The rooms were well maintained with clean bathrooms, comfortable beds (fresh crisp white sheets, nicely weighted duvets), a window that could be opened for fresh air and there was sufficient storage for our two-night stay with a hanging rail, shelf, small pigeon-hole bedside table and luggage rack. Breakfast was a beautifully laid-out buffet with a wide selection of foods with something for everyone. We absolutely fell in love with Lille and I can't wait to return again soon with my husband and children this time. The Holiday Inn Express Lille Centre by IHG will be my first choice of accommodation."

"Hotel Carlton is an absolute must when visiting Lille. We received such a warm welcome from Frank, whose knowledge of the city and recommendations for local spots made our stay even better. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history. We loved learning about the famous guests who have stayed over the years, including Paul McCartney. Its bar is also one of the best places in town for a cocktail. We were kindly given a complimentary drink card, and the whiskey sour was excellent. Hotel Carlton feels like a Lille institution. We’d happily stay again."

"The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. There was plenty of drawers & cupboard space and enough wardrobe space for a short stay, but probably not enough for a longer stay. The shower was very good. The bed was a little strange. It was described as a Murphy Bed which was able to be folded up, but there were no bedside tables and the mattress ended about 10cm from the headboard. Apart from that everything was excellent."
