"1. The reservation site is not clear and/or helpful. I was under the impression that I had booked a room with a private bathroom, and this was not the case.
2. The photos on the site show only the "bright side of the moon...", be very careful on what you are really booking!
3. There is no clear information that this is a hostel NOT a hotel.
4. Upon arrival there is no indications that check in is on the first floor, very confusing.
5. The person at check in is impolite and not helpful at...

An amazing hotel in the ideal location in Madrid. Walking distance (less than 2 kilometers) to most attractions, great restaurants, bar and cafes around every corner. Staff was wonderful and friendly! Always eager to assist. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and absolutely loved it! Although it's located on a busy street, our room was very quiet thanks to the noise-cancelling windows and electric shutters. The apartment was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Traveling as a group of four adults, having three full bathrooms made a huge difference and made our stay so much more enjoyable.

As noted in other reviews this hotel is in a residential area which equates to a quiet and secure stay. Very attentive and helpful staff at all levels. We stayed here at the beginning of our stay and then again tens days later prior to leaving for a total of five nights. Both times were wonderful. The breakfast is expansive and complete. I am a fan of Barcelo hotels but not of this one, i felt a little disappointed for the cost of the stay, but being in Madrid explained why is such this way. I uber most of the time and cost varies depending on time of the day but with a big increment for busy hours, the room was comfortable and quiet we had street view. The Wellington Hotel is very well located and it is truly a 5 star hotel. The service is impeccable, with great amenities, nightly turndown service, and an excellent executive lounge. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The restaurants in he hotel are great, including a michelin starred restaurant.

The hotel is close to all the big attraction but on a side street for quite and ease. I stayed at this hotel several times. This time with my dog. It was a very pleasant stay. Thé hôtel staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished. Hôtel is walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, parks. Overall a very great stay in Madrid.

The location was excellent in the heart of the city. The only issue we had was the air cond/heater. It didnt work; however, when we called, they came went into the roof in the room and the heat came on. Everything else was excellent.
