Loved staying here! The location was good for us -- we enjoy walking, and were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. There are restaurants close by. The complimentary spa was AMAZING!!!! We reserved the spa for 10:00 in the evening -- perfect end to a day full of walking. It was about a 10 minute walk from the subway station to the hotel. The staff was very, very accommodating. Old apartment building concerted to a boutique hotel. It was done very well with stylish comfortable rooms and nice amenities. If you are looking for a conventional hotel this is not it. If you want a room that is comfortable and stylish with fine amenities coupled with great service, I would highly recommend the Altstadt.

Expedia’s webpage for host information is complex and unclear. For example, I could not figure out how to check in. I believe this is a third party game of “telephone”. It’s not easy to navigate the webpage.
Very pleasant stay in this well run hotel. Very helpful front desk staff, clean well appointed modern rooms with spacious bathrooms. Excellent buffet breakfast with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Well connected area. Train and bus to airport is close. The only think I didn't enjoy was the shower is completely transparent. Not ideal for friends or coworkers. I guess it'd work only for couples.
Hôtel is clean and ideally located near a shopping street with lots of bars, shops and restaurant. It’s not a top of the range hotel but you get a clean room and nice bed for a relatively cheap price.
Hotel Kugel was a great find thanks to the valuable advice from our Viennese friend. This location was convenient to busses, trams and a parking garage where we left our car. Walking was safe and offered another option to visit many restaurants, stores and delicious sorbet stops.

The rooms are sparse and the beds are a bit firm for my taste, but it’s a solid spot in a great location. I felt very safe. Note there is no air conditioner, but I was there during a heatwave (temperatures in the upper 90’s Fahrenheit) and it wasn’t too unbearable. There is a nice en suite shower and a fan is provided. I would stay here again.
