"Staff is great! Food was good but pricey. Bar prices however were reasonable. My only suggestion is to add an occasional chair in the rooms, and a storage area for toiletries in the bathrooms. The rooms are spacious but need more furniture."

"The room was clean and we had a nice view at 6th floor. The staff was friendly. The breakfast provided a good number of choices. The airport shuttle bus was helpful. But remember to get the tickets from the front desk 45 minutes before it leaves the hotel. There were only 18 seats on the shuttle bus. There were a lot of people in the hotel. It seems that people like the location which is convenient to the airport."

I am a fan of Barcelo hotels but not of this one, i felt a little disappointed for the cost of the stay, but being in Madrid explained why is such this way. I uber most of the time and cost varies depending on time of the day but with a big increment for busy hours, the room was comfortable and quiet we had street view. Later in my stay i discovered that the metro stationPlaza Castilla, was in walking distance from there but I can’t say much because did not ride the it. There are few options...
As noted in other reviews this hotel is in a residential area which equates to a quiet and secure stay. Very attentive and helpful staff at all levels. We stayed here at the beginning of our stay and then again tens days later prior to leaving for a total of five nights. Both times were wonderful. The breakfast is expansive and complete. We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and absolutely loved it! Although it's located on a busy street, our room was very quiet thanks to the noise-cancelling windows and electric shutters. Both the room and bathroom were spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed, including shaving and dental kits, shower caps, and a variety of cute little bottles of toiletries. The Wellington Hotel is very well located and it is truly a 5 star hotel. The service is impeccable, with great amenities, nightly turndown service, and an excellent executive lounge. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. The restaurants in he hotel are great, including a michelin starred restaurant.
Perfect hotel (we had the suite in room 203), best staff (40 Euro for late checkout until 8:30 pm at a 400 Euro per night suite; made reservations everywhere; always with a smile and very helpful); best location!!
