Riad Mazar Fes

"This was hands down one of the best experiences we have ever had while staying abroad. Beginning prior to our arrival in Morocco we had received communication from the Riad with tips and instructions specific to the wonderful city of Fes. Communication through WhatsApp was extremely easy, and very fast! We were welcomed to the Riad with hot Moroccan mint tea, and cookies. The owner greeted us and excited explained the art and craftsmanship that went into the Riad. We received a full tour and explanation on the cultural aspects of a riad. They booked a guide for the next morning on the spot, who was fabulous. Breakfast was served each morning, you could tell it was all homemade, with love and care. It was by far one of the best breakfasts we have ever had, they were even able to accommodate an allergy my wife has. We felt like family from the minute we walked in until the moment we checked out. Please stop looking for a place to stay and decide to make Riad Mazar your home too."

"We had a really nice stay at Riad Taryana. The location was very convenient and close to most of our meeting points, which made getting around the Medina much easier. The owners were very kind and welcoming. They would often come and chat with us while we were having breakfast, which made the stay feel very personal and friendly. Breakfast was also great — if we let them know what time we planned to come down, they would usually have it ready for us before we even arrived. The owner was also kind enough to upgrade our room for free since there was availability, which we really appreciated. The room had hot water and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One thing to keep in mind is that there are quite a few stairs and some of them are steep, so it may be something to consider if you have difficulty with stairs. The riad is located right in the old Medina, but we personally felt safe during our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and especially appreciated how kind and welcoming the owners were. A great option if you want to stay right in the Medina and be close to everything."

"The staff at Riad Layla were very helpful, including sorting out laundry for us, and providing us with breakfast to go on the morning we checked out when we had to leave very early. The other morning where we were able to have breakfast on the terrace was excellent - very fresh and great variety. There are a lot of stairs to the terrace! The main courtyard was beautifully presented and maintained, and provided a great sense of calm and quiet. Our room was nice, but there were a few things in the bathroom that could be better maintained: a lightbulb needed replacing, the lightswitch was loose from the wall with wires exposed, and it was incredibly hard to turn the shower handle tight enough to stop it from dripping"

"Very sweet people who own the riad. They helped us get a guide, siggested restaurants, were very helpful. We had an amazing time. They even included us for the friday couscous tradition. Could not have asked for a better place, it was an amazing experience. They also have an opinionated cat and some really nice turtles."
