"I had absolutely great experience with this hotel. Nice, clean, beautiful. the room was spacious. The bed was super comfy, the bedlinen and towels were good quality (for me it is important). The parking was comfortable as well. And the best location where you can walk anywhere within 5-10 mins. I will be back for sure."

Spent 3 nights, room was well appointed, comfortable, nice amenities. Randall was wonderful, service from all staff excellent. Breakfast served in room daily was delicious. Great location, easy to walk to shops and galleries. Great outdoor common space. Would definitely stay here again.
Convenient location where you can walk everywhere you want to go in Monterey. Beautiful, clean property with a superbly friendly staff. We've stayed here several times and it never disappoints!
Only thing I can complain about is the showerheads were made for somebody that’s about 5 foot two. So if you’re any taller than that, it’s very difficult to shower and the shower stall is built probably in 1950.
The Inn is centrally located to town and within walking distance to all restaurants and shopping. I loved the 30s architecture of the Inn and staff were wonderful especially Mimi, the concierge. Very comfortable bedding for a good nights sleep!
I loved this place! It was perfectly located and the room was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and welcoming. I travel with my emotional support animal and my stay was smooth and pleasant. Definitely recommend this place will stay here again
Loved the outdoor fireplace; even though it's public, it's built for privacy. Loved being able to walk to the main street shopping and the beach. I will stay here again.
The grounds are beautifully decorated and inspire serenity. For the price though, the carpet was stained, the side table lamp had a terrible odor, the tiles in bathroom were coming off and the tub sealant was cracked. We did enjoy the location of our room, the fireplace, the breakfast and the service was excellent.
We loved the Tally Ho Inn and will make it our preferred place to stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Almost all rooms have ocean views with their own decks or patios. Rooms are well-designed with good use of space and nice amenities. On-site parking a plus. Just a block from the main commercial street and a short walk down to the beach.
Where to even begin! This was my sister and I's first ever trip to California and we chose this lodge because it's one of the less expensive accommodations in the area. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made!
Everything from the breakfast basket delivered to my door every morning with croissants, fresh fruit, and fruit juice, to the cozy and cute bathrobes, and happy hour wine and cheese made me feel very at home and cared for.

The front desk was very accommodating. Yes, you might have steps but due to an injury I had to request a downstairs room. Fabulous service and yes they graciously moved us. If you select convenience over fancy choose this hotel. Walkable to the beach, convenient to Carmel shopping and you don't have to find street parking. The room could use a little updating (new blinds) but nothing that you can't live with for a few days.
Really glad we went with this Best Western. If you're not looking for the boutique hotel experience and don't want to spend a lot of money, I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are modern and clean. It's right in the middle of everything and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay.
In town for my daughters wedding. This was just for one more night because we wanted some extra time in Carmel. The room is no frills, and exactly what we expected. Perfect for the evening. Great location in town. Walking distance to shopping and dining.
