Fantastic hotel! Very serene and organic modern aesthetic. The breakfast buffet presented as small bites was delicious. Also the mushroom pizza on the dinner menu is a must try. The location is perfect for daily strolls to see the shops and restaurants. We will definitely plan to stay at here for our next stay in Carmel by the Sea.

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The property is pristine and modern, with thoughtful touches throughout. The warm hospitality set the tone right away when we were escorted to our room. Both the courtyard pizza and the innovative tapas breakfast were standout highlights, truly delicious and a brilliant concept. Having stayed at countless boutique resorts on our monthly travels, this experience truly stands out as one of our favorites. We cannot wait to return.

The property seems to be recently upgraded. The property feels like it was originally built as a cheap motel but the new owner modernized it, added nice upgrades and modern finishings. My stay here was smooth and comfortable. Staff and service was also attentive and helpful.

The complementary breakfast was amazing. It was different every day & delicious! The rooms were clean and the bedding was so soft!! Has air-conditioning, which was great because it was 80° when we were in Carmel. Great location too!!

Our room and the entire property at the Stillwell Hotel was extremely comfortable and incredibly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Entire stay was “exceptional”. Only minor issue noted is poor water pressure in the bathroom sink, but shower was okay. Excellent stay with very nice breakfast and east parking at the hotel. Easy short walk to Ocean Avenue for shops and restaurants.

It is the perfect location for Carmel. Staff is outstanding and cleanliness is top notch. The room we had was a bit small for sure, but comfortable. The breakfast is healthy and tasty.

This was a fantastic place to stay for us on our trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea! The hotel was right in the middle of town and made walking around the area really easy. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. Staff was super friendly. The best part of our stay was the fantastic breakfast variety and oven fired pizza that was included daily! This is definitely where we’ll be staying on our future trips to Carmel or Monterey :)
