Location is fine. 20 min walk to popular shopping/dining area (St. Stephen’s Church). 3.5 miles away from Belvedere museum (1 hour walk). Rooms are a bit small but suitable for 2. Great little hotel. Room was plenty big for our family of four. The train station was only about a 5 minute walk and the tram to take you into the city was just right across the hotel. Loved the check in process as well, everything done over the tablet in the lobby and fortunately our room was ready way before we expected which was helpful after a long travel day. Would stay here again.
Hotel is located on 40A bus that connects with Schottentor Metro Station. Also One block from D Tram which extends along most of Ringstrasse, passes the Belvedere and ends up at the new Hauptbahnhof. Another tram is located near the top of Strudelhof Staircase which connects with Schottentor. We found several very nice restaurants in the neighborhood as well as several good shops. The breakfast is great.
We enjoyed our stay at The Companion hotel! The rooms are small, but designed well so that you still feel like you have plenty of space for storage and separation of bathroom ammenities. The gentlemen at the front desk were super friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. There is a great restaurant and bar located at the property and it is also conveniently located to the train station, making it easily accessible to everywhere in Vienna. Overall, this hotel is a great value!
I had a great stay at Hotel Schani UNO City. It's a modern, eco friendly hotel. The staff is very helpful. It's located right next to Vienna International Center. I will definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rathaus Wein & Design during our week in Vienna. We were traveling as three generations: grandma, mom, and daughter, and the hotel was a great choice for all of us.
The location was excellent. We were able to explore so much of Vienna using public transportation and walking, and we loved coming back each day to the quieter Josefstadt neighborhood. It gave us easy access to the major sights without feeling like we were staying in the middle of a busy tourist...
A lovely hotel in a superb location. A tram stop is right across the street, and the Rathaus square (and Christmas market, Vienna's largest) is an easy walk. Staff were very nice, and the breakfast buffet is sumptuous. We loved Eiles, the coffee bar/restaurant just half a block away.
Room was nice and clean, weird that there were no door to the bathroom and us staying as a family. Continental breakfast comes at a hefty 20€ and we declined - other than that, everything was perfect
On top of the very convenient location, the breakfast is of the first class! Also, the staff members are very friendly and helpful about any questions, with perfect English.
Room with a view of the Schunbrunn gardens and palace was worth the short metro ride to the city. The metro is across the street making it easy to get into the beautiful city of Vienna.
Opera stop puts you right in the heart of Vienna. Add breakfast to your stay - it is simply the best we experienced in the 7 cities in Europe we visited , including the UK. This hotel is just perfect! Very polite and nice people at reception, amazing ambience and at perfect location. You also have parkings for your cars across the street for 24euros/per day!
When we arrived in Vienna, many streets were closed for a parade and the taxi could not get closer than 1 km from the hotel. I am mobility impaired and the hotel sent someone with a wheelchair to take me to the hotel and then he returned to take my companion with 2 suitcases to the hotel. Service in excess! The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff was the best! Next time in Vienna I will definitely return.
