"My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Umbra. We had 2 rooms - a double and a room for 3 and both rooms were incredibly clean with beautiful views. The staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. This property is a perfect location if you are visiting Assisi - it is right off of the main piazza with various restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this beautiful city."

"Absolutely loved this place. The location was excellent, the room was comfortable, the staff was nice and the balcony at sunset was amazing. Made for a memorable evening. Only complaint is how hard it is to find the hotel when walking around town. It took my husband and I over an hour to find it! We kept walking past the entrance and didn't know. Finally had to call and ask for specific directions. Once we had that, it was easy to find and then drive to and park the car. I recommend contacting the hotel once you get to town to find out how to exactly find the place."

"Lots of larger tour groups with large buses stay at this facility while in town to visit Assisi, so the hotel caters to them in the buffet area downstairs all the other guests of the hotel must sit at unassigned tables in the breakfast buffet area. The buffet has lots of choices and plentiful. The room was good, clean and functioning appropriately. The grounds were nice and green with a nice setting on a hillside overlooking the valley. It was a little hard to communicate with the front desk staff because they didn't know a lot of English, but we survived. Parking garage located on the lower level was not full and convenient. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area for a couple of days."

"Very IMPORTANT, you CANT park inside the old city. If you are driving you can only enter to unload luggage then you have to park outside the old town. The walk is 10 to 15 min only. The hotel is in the middle of everything. The views are just breathtaking. Ask for room 34, is the best one."
