Great location and cleanliness, but customer service needs improvement.
Our stay at Staybridge Suites Saltillo by IHG was overall positive, but there are a few points worth mentioning. The hotel is in an excellent location, very safe and clean, which we truly appreciate since we travel by road from Texas to Mexico several times a year, and Saltillo has always been our preferred stop to rest.
We booked three rooms for eleven people and one pet, which is an emotional support animal for my youngest son who has autism. The first person who assisted us during check-in was very kind and everything went smoothly. However, later another staff member made uncomfortable comments regarding the number of guests and the pet, even though we had already informed the hotel and complied with its policies. Everything was eventually resolved, but we felt that the treatment toward us was different compared to other foreign guests.
We do not want anyone to face consequences; we simply suggest better customer service training to avoid prejudice and ensure equal treatment for all guests. Despite this, the hotel delivers on what it promises, and we hope to stay here again in the future because we value its safety, cleanliness, and pet-friendly policy.
