Food was fabulous

8/10 Very good

This hotel is quiet and service is good, but the hotel itself; the room and facilities are aged.
Yun Keung Albert, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

No potable water in room or bathroom, water pressure totally inadequate for a shower, no fridge containing bottled water. Window sash cord broken, therefore window being held open a few centimetres by a wooden prop. TV only in adjoining snuggery and not on the wall in the bedroom where one would expect it.

Welcoming despite late arrival and morning breakfast was excellent

Rare Gem

This is a rare gem tucked away in rural Suffolk but not 2 mins from the excellent blue boar pub. The hotel is friendly and welcomes furry friends. To get a breakfast included was phenomenal.

A lovely stay in a lovely country hotel

Lovely family run country hotel, beautiful grounds, and lovely setting with plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are spacious, very clean and beds are extremely comfortable! Breakfast was included and was delicious ,loads of choice and the breakfast room looks out over the grounds.. The staff are all lovely, and friendly and very helpful . All in all, a lovely stay in a lovely hotel in gorgeous surroundings ! Within easy reach of Great Yarmouth or Lowesfoft.

2/10 Poor

The worst place to stay

POOR, Cobwebs, dirty, broken TV, dirty walls, bugs, walking around, and flying around, smelly stuffy, dirty, carpets, used bedsheets, and pillows, have photographic evidence of everything, the worst state I have ever had.

Lovely location

It was a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were a bit tired. The tvs in the rooms were so small I couldnt see it properly and in my room it was in a different room to the bedroom and after a long long family day scattering my mums ashes i just wanted to lay down and watch tv. Breakfast was great.

Ok stay

Ideal for people with dogs. Parking on site which was handy. Loveky grounds outside. Very dated rooms and the shower was not at all powerful.

Good solid hotel. Ideal for business traveler.

A traditional guest house. Nice and quiet. Ideal for a business traveler, plain is style and facilities but very high quality food - excellent steak. And clean throughout although dated in places.

Pleasant stay

Great for us with a dog. Friendly staff good service. Lovely clean bathroom, very small tv but fine for us as only short stay. No hairdryer so I asked at reception but not a problem one was easily provided. Good breakfast would stay again.

2/10 Poor

I was charged twice for the room. There was a Wedding event outside of my room until past midnight (I was not notified about this). The Restaurant was not open in the evening and the WiFi didn't work. The Breakfast was good!

Ok hotel

From the outside te hotel looks amazing and the welcoming from the staff is really great. The rooms are clean and an adequote size but unfortunatly the walls are paper thin and each room is divided by a door, so you could quite easily have a conversation with your neighbours through the wall.As a small family with one child we were looking for a quiet room to get our heads down so we could be up early in the morning, unfortunalty where we were placed there was a party happening down the path at the coach house which resulted in a lack of sleep. i spoke to reception to see if they could do anything, they were very helpful and managed to shut the coach house door so we had quiet fo 30 mins and then the festivities started again. It was like pitching a tent on a dance floor of a club that was playing elvis on loop, that was how noisy it was.Needless to say sleep wasnt great. Breakfast in the morning was however excellent. My recomendation would be great hotel if you havent got young kids.
