The Loubird Inn is a pure slice of heaven! I stayed in the Sunrise guest cabin and it was perfect. The absolute best sleep I had on my entire vacation. The room was carefully appointed with everything you could possibly need, with a vaulted ceiling spa like feel and sported a covered front porch replete with table and chairs as well as a full sized deck with table and chairs right off the double doors. The local art displayed in the room were perfect. This is not your typical hotel room. What I enjoyed the most however was the path to the cabin I stayed in. Chock full of blooming flowers buzzing with bees, the landscaping was lunch and idyllic. Just not enough words to describe the pure perfection of this place.

I like the esthetic of the cabins. I like the artsy things and that they were for sale if you wanted one of them. I liked the coziness of the cabins. I also loved that the owners lived there. They were very friendly and likeable.

Our stay at the Loubird

We had a wonderful stay at The Loubird. Our room was super cute and roomy with an inviting outdoor porch overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a refrigerator in the room with a kettle but we also had access to a guest lounge with a kitchen which included a microwave and dishes. All in all, it was a lovely and peaceful spot for exploring a beautiful area.

The Loubird Inn is described as the "premium boutique inn" in Escalante, which we felt was not an accurate description. First, there was no one there to check us in at 4 pm -- we were not told about this beforehand. Second, all communication is by phone and only until 5 pm. It's like an Airbnb, not an inn. Third, the bathroom needs renovation as toilet got clogged. Garden and outdoor area is lovely and there are some amenities, hence the "average" rating.

Amazingly peaceful property to get away and relax. The surrounding city only has one or two restaurants open depending on the day, but it always has something. And just chilling on the LouBird patio with a drink and a book is where its at.

We stayed in the River Room and the beds were quite uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. The site we reserved from stated slippers provided (there were none), which would have been lovely given that I left mine at home and the floors were cold. There was a space heater in the bathroom that, if working, would have helped in that regard. Overall, a quaint, clean, and cozy property.

Such a charming, cozy inn that has everything you need and more in an ideal location between Capital Reef and Bryce. Escalante has so much to offer without the crowds. The Loubird is the best place in town.
