Lovely old hotel in the old section of Kochi. Staff were fabulous… Very helpful & friendly. Great manager, Jerin. Great location! Wonderful food. Big, beautiful comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It was one of the best hotels that we stayed in during our month in India

This is an extraordinary hotel, a colourful and unique oasis in the middle of bustling kochi. The rooms were beautiful and large and cool with a hot shower and comfortable beds. The pool and communal areas were also gorgeous and tranquil. Breakfast was fine, a good selection. Staff were great also. The afternoon snacks were delightful and a really appreciated extra. The fresh lime soda from the bar was amazing. It is quite noisy as it is in the middle of the town so cars horns and dog barking are quite loud but the shutters help and this is unavoidable in its location. The hotel is well situated for walking out to nearby cafes and shops with local clothes and crafts as well as the local sights such as the beach and the st Francis church.

My husband and I initially booked our stay for about 3-4 days, but once we got there, my husband hurt his back and we extended our stay. The staff definitely went over and beyond to take care of us. We requested a 3-day treatment from the male massage therapist on staff - which helped my husband immensely. On top of it, we requested the staff for a doctor, who prescribed medicine for my husband, which the staff went and got for us. They checked on us and inquired about his back every single time they saw us. They even brought food from the breakfast buffet to our room since my husband's back was so bad he couldn't walk over to the restaurant area. It was just amazing. We can't wait to come back to this place the next time we're in Kerala!

Three wonderful days in Fort Kochi

Fort kochi is a beautiful heritage hotel, well maintained and full of wonderful history. It is furnished tastefully and has much charm. The staff in all sections are amazing, every staff member we dealt with from the gentleman who opened the main door to us on arrival, to the staff who attended to us in our rooms, in the bar, reception and restaurant were exceptional. The complementary breakfast and afternoon tea were such a bonus. The only negative comment - I wish we could have some daylight in the room. You can open the windows but then run the risk of mosquitoes entering. But this did not detract from a wonderful stay.

A quaint heritage property made good for a relaxing stay in Fort Kochi area. The hotel is walking distance to many interesting places to visit and a short rickshaw ride away to the spice market and heritage monuments. The hotel caters to families and couples alike but solo travelers may find it a tad boring! The friendly staff do look after you. The welcome drink was a lovely glass of fresh black grape juice and it brought back lovely memories of travelling & living in Kerala. They offer a complimentary morning walking tour around the heritage sites. We gave that a miss due to the rains and other plans we made but I would recommend that to anyone going there for the first time. Areas we felt needs to be looked into are - 1) Slippery floors and steps during monsoon season! 2) Restaurant food tends to be catered to non-Indians so made slightly less authentic in spice levels. 3) Coffee and Tea served in the restaurant missed the mark! Overall, my family and I would definitely go back there the next time we’re in Fort Kochi!
