This was a great economical spot for a quick nights stay on a road trip. Room was clean, I like the old motor lodges where you can park directly in front of the room. It’s definitely not a resort so don’t expect high end, but it was perfect for my needs. Cool Route 66 and local history museum about a mile up the road and plenty of fast food options. And a grocery store nearby

DO NOT STAY!

Decided on this room due to needing a stay for a baseball tournament reviews were good but think they are made up by ownership. Check in staff was rude saying we didn’t book it right added $10 for kids. When we got to our room there were people outside smoking. The room was over 90 degrees because AC was off. Then people started knocking on door. Kids were scared so we left tried to see if we could get a refund as we never stayed in the room. We were told no and were very rude. Really just stealing money from a family.

My wife and I stay in Ely City twice a year. We previously stayed elsewhere, but that place had become run down and tired. The manager also became rude and nasty. Time to find a different place. We tried the Flamingo Inn and we've been coming back every year. The place is filled with route 66 charm. It is clean and the manager pleasant. It is also much cheaper than where we had been staying. My wife and I are looking forward in staying here for years to come.

Pros and cons

The bathroom was clean, it was private and quiet. The rug and walls were stained— the towels and sheets were ripped and stained as well. But I felt safe and it was worth the price.
