The hotel's location meant it was just a short walk from the town and beachfront. The hotel itself was spotless with all the amenities you would expect. The beds were comfortable and because the hotel is set back from the road it is extremely quiet. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. There is a great choice for breakfast and the food is cooked to order meaning that the food is fresh and hot. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Although it can be a little tricky parking when all the places are nearly full the hotel is ideally situated near the center of Sidmouth. Very much a boutique hotel and it was full when we arrived as we hadn't realised it was the carnival weekend. Stayed in for dinner which we were asked to select our choices in advance and it was excellent - beautifully cooked and very tasty. Our room was very quiet overnight and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning had a great choice of options and the coffee was good. Overall - highly recommended.

6/10 Good

Nice friendly hotel, more attention required in the dinning room. Lack of salt and pepper grinders are always a bit of a give away. No drinks menus were available. Check in and out were faultless.

A wonderful, small hotel in the heart of Sidmouth. It was like going back in time in a good way! 😂 Breakfast and dinner are absolutely delicious and good value because you won’t need to eat lunch due to being full. Really loved staying here and definitely would come back if I were to be in Sidmouth again.

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely stay. Staff very attentive. Room was quite small but spotlessly clean with quality linen and towels. Breakfast cooked to order with a great choice. We chose to dine in town which was a pleasant 10 minute walk. The only problem for me was the creaking of floorboards from the room above, to be expected in an old building. We were amused by the sound of snoring from a neighbouring room but guess this was due to us all having our windows open in this lovely warm weather.

8/10 Very good

Had a lovely stay at the my pleasant, staff very friendly and attentive, hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good, room nice and beds very comfortable, if I had to find any fault it would be that the bathroom was a bit small and could do with a small amount of maintenance but this didn’t detract from our stay and would definitely stay here again
