NO ROOM SINK NO WATER NEVER AGAIN
I booked at last minute a room only £44 a night. Big mistake, got sent e mail with combination number to be put in to obtain access to room from a small box which was hard to read.
Then went through front door only to be imformed i needed a combination password to enter. VERY STRESSFUL IN DARKNESS. As i was doing this three drunk men, smoking a cannabis, also appeared saying one of them had booked a room but could not work out how to get in. Told them to ring the hotel
number, again very stressful as it was obvious these rough looking men had not been vetted and no member of staff was around. At night the Riverside area is known to be full of dangerous looking skeazy characters, not a place for any respectable woman (or man) who wants to feel safe. The place itself was clean and well maintained but very eerie and somewhat depressing. It actually got worse, the double room had no sink therefore no water, shower or toilet. They were down a long flight of stairs which was a great inconvenience. Having no running water in the room was a bit of a torture. Was there for two days this week £88! The owners seem to run it with barely any direct human contact when entering. Nice building but the room with no water was like being in solitary confinement. Just back from Benidorm a few days earlier stayed in several hotels at much the same price, but they had running water and made the room here seem like a prison cell. Never again,for same price you can get a good room nearby
