The hotel was right on the busy shopping street, and my room had a cute little balcony overlooking this street. The decor was modern chic, and the bed very comfortable. Riza at the reception was helpful at check in, and loaned me a transportation card in response to my question as to where I can purchase one. Breakfast was just across the street in an alley cafe. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I chose this location on Istiklal Street since it is close to many shops, and restaurant. Unfortunately, the taxi driver dropped me in an awkward location where I had to log my luggage and climb, several steps to get to the hotel. Great place to stay for a short vacation. Just make sure that you are dropped in area that is walkable to the hotel. The staff are very helpful. The entrance is tiny, but they would help you carry your luggage upstairs.

The staff were wonderful. However, be aware that there is now a club just below and to one side on the Istikal side of the hotel. Driving electronic dance music till 3:30-4 AM every night. The local police have been bribed to not enforce noise bylaws. We stayed 2 nights in a street facing room. No sleep possible until the club closed. Once in a back side room it was quiet. Only book back side!

Amazing apartment on Istiklal street

The apartment is right on Istiklal with open roof restaurants below and hustle bustle of crowd, amazing vibe. The only issue was taking the bags around as there is no vehicles allowed in that street however owner MrNazar was helpful to take it up and down the stairs and arranged transfers in vip vehicle.

Dirty and noisy

Location is great. Don’t expect to have good sleep as down stairs of this hotel is all restaurants and bars. You will hear loud party music daily until 2am in the morning, then city cleaning crews comes daily to clean street and makes their cleaning noise until early morning. With noise issue mosquitoes also a big problem at night. As soon. As you turn off your lights, you will hear mosquito noises and will bite marks in the morning.During our stay found live slug inside the bathroom cabinet. There were dust balls with hair all over room. Overall without location this hotel does not have any other pros to recommend. Receptionists in the morning were not friendly and keep asking to take their taxi services, even though you will get cheaper taxi on the street.

A cozy spot

Excellent and friendly service. Beautiful room, but as other reviewers have already mentioned. Thin uninsulated windows, and a room where the air conditioner couldn’t be used for cooling as they claimed other guests wanted heating, so they had switched the main AC down in the lobby to warm. With the door open it was LOUD. All night. I slept 🛌 n the mornings mostly as it was an almost impossible task to fall asleep with music, drumming and singing in the street outside. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the location being in the middle of the Main Street with cozy little side streets and alleys full of cafes and restaurants.

Our initial experience with this hotel was positive. The receptionist was polite, and the check-in process was fast. However, a significant drawback was the absence of an elevator. The room was clean, and the view of Istiklal Street was nice. Our unpleasant encounter occurred during checkout with a rude staff member. When we attempted to have the included breakfast before departure, the receptionist questioned its inclusion. In my mother's language (Farsi), he accused me of lying. Frustrated, I showed him my booking information confirming breakfast, to which he responded by claiming it was a joke. The hotel's restaurant was external, requiring a short walk to a nearby café. The staff there, influenced by the hotel receptionist, limited our breakfast, implying they were monitoring expenses. They even suggested extra charges for sandwiches, creating an uncomfortable situation. I won't return to this hotel and don't recommend it to others.

Excellent Location with Beautiful Views

Our stay at Magnova Studios in Istanbul was truly memorable. The hotel's location couldn't be better – nestled in the heart of the city, it's surrounded by a wealth of restaurants and shopping stores. Upon entering our room, we were immediately struck by the fantastic interior design. The blend of modern comfort and traditional aesthetics created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The highlight, however, were the beautiful balconies that offered stunning views of the city. What truly set Magnova Studios apart was their exceptional staff. They not only helped secure reservations at the elusive Ruby's restaurant, a true culinary gem, but they also went the extra mile to assist us in finding flowers for my partner, adding a special touch to our stay. One thing to note is that Magnova Studios, being a converted old church building, does not have an elevator. While it might pose a slight inconvenience, it didn't bother us much and added to the hotel's unique charm. Overall, Magnova Studios is a hidden gem in Istanbul. Its excellent location, fantastic interior, beautiful balconies, and the dedication of its staff make it a top choice for a memorable stay in this vibrant city.

Magnova Stay Jan 17-20, 2024

The property is in the middle of everything. Great shops and restaurants. The decor and quality of the room is very nice as was the staff. The room albeit small was cute and loft like. The only problem that we encountered is that there is a nightclub close by that played very very loud music until 4am. We booked the balcony room,#204 that faces the street. We got no sleep the first night, a Wednesday. The following evening the same thing so I had them move us to a room on the back side of the building. You could still hear the music but we were finally able to get some rest. I asked regarding a refund or a discount but the gentleman at the desk said he couldn’t because the music is not a fault of the hotel. I didn’t really find that an acceptable response. I told him that no where in the reviews or information does it say anything about the very loud music or the night club across the street. I’m honestly not one to complain, but as I said, it was impossible to sleep, even with ear plugs. There was also a bit of a debacle with being picked up at the airport, even though I made the arrangements way in advance.
