The location was fantastic, with amazing restaurants, bars, and plenty of things to see and do just steps outside the front door. We had a lovely 2 night stay at the hotel. If you love old historic hotels, this is a must. Our suite was great and roomy, with a big jetted tub, and the bed was so so comfortable. Great linens. Coffee, tea and pastries on the main level at 7 am. In the lobby was a very nice bar, with lots of specialty drinks. It was a nice place to go at the end of the day. Lots of restaurants on the same street. All in all, I would definitely recommend and stay again. Our only issue was no on site parking. There is a lot about a bloke away, that had free parking after 4:30ish, or street parking, also free.

The hotel is an older/historic building. I enjoy staying in places like this, but if you prefer a modern Hampton Inn, you may not like it as much. You have actually real keys to your room and it is in a great downtown location. The downside: they don’t have a designated parking lot, so you have to find parking on the street (it didn’t take us long to find parking, but perhaps it could if the downtown was busy), the bathrobe in our room looked as old as the hotel itself, and the shower size is what you would imagine in a very old building. The pros: it is very unique and full of character, the rooms are large, and the staff is incredibly friendly/helpful. The $10 drink tickets for their bar was a nice touch. The bartender was also very friendly, and the bar itself was a huge step up from your typical hotel bar. I truly enjoyed it and our stay made for a great conversation piece at the swim meet we attended compared to others who stayed at a traditional chain hotel.

This place was wonderful! We stayed two nights and loved it. The breakfast is pretty basic and there is no parking on-site which makes loading and unloading a bit difficult. But great location and cool building. The bar is fun as well.
