I was impressed with the recent renovation. The materials picked were higher-end than what you would expect. From the flooring to the bathroom vanity. Very impressive for a small hotel. I also liked not paying for amenities we do not typically use, like a pool and gym. Great experience.

Perfect location to use to visit Mt Rainier. Beautiful area, not too expensive, clean, and maintained by friendly and helpful staff. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and the room had everything we needed. We had a great time here and would stay again.

Nice, friendly staff. Very clean property. We chose because of its distance to Mt Rainier but it ended up being a lot farther. We chose to hike skyline loop trail which was an hour and a half away. The distance wasn’t terrible but we’ll try to stay closer next time. Nice place and everyone was nice but the only downside would be the bed. It’s a weird sheet metal frame and every time we moved, it sounded like it was going to break. We only had a short overnight stay but overall pleasant experience.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Cowlitz! The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. And the staff was wonderful and welcoming! Special mention for Aaron who was very friendly, helpful and immediately took care of any issues or questions we had! Will definitely return next time!

Check-in was easy but the person behind the desk was unfriendly (no smiles or greetings) and didn't seem like she wanted to be disturbed. The property and room was nice and clean. We booked the suite. It was a neat concept and clean, but the room felt like a converted common space with a bathroom to match. Check-out was also easy. Overall not a bad place to stay for a few nights in the area.
