Carpark is a very tight space with a non trivial entry policy but is clean and secure. The breakfast is nice (classic English breakfast items) but without change was a little repeitve over our three day stay. Room was good, wifi good, staff polite and helpful. This was a nice place to stay for a night in York. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station, and a quick walk across the river to the heart of town. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walk. The room was good sized and clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Very good full English breakfast buffet. The only issue was that it didn't have AC and the room got very hot. We could open a window which worked nicely, but on the other side of the river is a night club that was very loud, so we couldn't keep the window open because of the noise. All we had to cool us off was a fan which worked ok, but not great. It was a Friday night, so that was probably worse than other nights with the noise. It was still a nice place.

Great room with a beautiful view of the river and the city. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was available, but like everywhere in downtown areas, very tight spots. The only issue was there was no access to the parking lot from the inside of the hotel; they have to open the garage door for you, so plan not to have access to your car unless you absolutely need it.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay, had a room with a view of the river bridges and minster. 15 minutes tops walk from the station to the hotel, so handy, same to walk to the centre of the city, lots of choices of food and bars in the evening. Breakfast was really enjoyable and the staff were on top of organisation and maintaining the food on offer, we'd happily return, thank you
