In The Bay (great name!) is in a very good location clear of the hubbub of Kaikoura town center and yet on the sea front with fabulous views. It was just as advertised with good, well maintained facilities and spacious rooms with well appointed bathrooms. Breakfast was fresh and very convenient.

Great view of the ocean In Kaikoura. Good location to easily walk into town and enjoy a meal at one of many restaurants. Our room was spacious, bright, comfortable and well-appointed. Delicious continental breakfast!

We stayed in the Endeavour room and loved how spacious it was, as well as the view of the ocean from our room! The bathroom (shower especially) was amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast provided was so great! There was also a lovely little sitting area outside for us to listen to the sounds of the ocean while enjoying our coffee/tea/breakfast. We thought the bed was going to be too soft for us, but we still had a pretty decent sleep. We did notice some dust and cobwebs in the higher corners of the room, but this wasn’t a huge deal to us, as overall everything else was otherwise clean. Enjoyable stay!

This property should consider changing the name from "Bed & Breakfast" considering no breakfast is actually included despite the name. I found the host really friendly and she made us feel very comfortable. She even offered to take us to the train station. Great new bathroom and decent sized room. Breakfast was nice but no option of anything cooked . Overall I thought it was a bit pricey.
