Traditional house turned into with a very nice bar/restaurant.
Service is great, always ready to solve any concerns or issues, including the change of room once we missed to realize that we got a room at the fourth level without elevator, which is stated on the hotel description, but not at the time we selected the room. To be fair, the views and privacy from the upper level were great, and we had jacuzzies and swimming pool terrace steps away from our room. The problem was that I was visiting with my 78 y/o mom, who really appreciated being moved to a ground level room without extra charge. I recommend starting the day as early as possible and be back before sunset if you want to walk around. There is a lot of police around, but it's strongly recommended to use taxis or Uber to go back to the hotel after dark. Staff if very friendly and attentive. They provide great recommendations and tips to get the most of visiting Santa Marta.
