My stay at doubletree Hilton Old City Doha was for one night, and overall it was a mixed experience.
The check-in process was very quick and smooth, and I appreciated the warm welcome with a complimentary cookie and drink. The lobby, however, is quite small, which reflects the hotel’s overall size — it feels more like a boutique-style property.
The room itself was a good size, with a nicely laid-out bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, However, I did notice some dust here and there, so housekeeping attention to detail could definitely be improved.
One downside was the noise coming from the restaurants and bar on the ground floor, which was noticeable during the stay. Room service was another weak point — I tried pasta, pizza, and hummus, but unfortunately the quality did not meet expectations and needs improvement.
In terms of amenities, basic bathroom products like shower gel and toiletries felt below what I would expect from a five-star hotel. Overall, the hotel works fine for a short city stay, but considering the price, I don’t feel it offers strong value for money.
