I paid CHF 592.81 for a three-night stay, so I expected a level of quality reasonably appropriate for that price. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet those expectations.
The balcony technically existed, but it was so small that there was barely enough space for two chairs, making it practically unusable. There was also a refrigerator in the room, but it did not cool at all and was therefore completely unusable.
I have seen many positive reviews mentioning the good breakfast and clean rooms. While these may be positive aspects, I wonder whether the hotel is being considered “good for the price.” At CHF 592.81 for three nights, I expected significantly better overall quality and facilities.
My concern is not simply that the hotel was expensive. Prices can vary, especially in Zermatt. The issue is whether the quality of a hotel reasonably matches the price at which it is offered. Since this was the price presented by the booking platform, I also wonder whether the platform should do more to check whether the advertised price is consistent with the actual quality of the accommodation.
