We loved our stay in Gdansk at the Podewils. It is slightly out of the main historic district, and hence very quiet, although the main district is available with a 5 minute walk. The staff and ownership of the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and eager to help in all ways. The most comfortable hotel bed I ever slept in, instant hot water, quiet and great hotel restaurant. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, but I must make special mention of personable Sebastian. Hotel is in a great location for restaurants, shopping, sightseeing. Parking was an issue and FreeNow driver had hard time finding the hotel. I ended up leaving my car in another area of town and used taxi to get in.
Otherwise an excellent hotel and the location couldn't be any more central to the old town. You literally walk out to the center. Also, our room was quiet and very comfortable.
Nice room with great ventilation. The location is the best in town but gets loud outside on fridays and saturdays. Would be nice if the towel rack was electric. Only turns on when it's below 15 Celsius. So it was always quite damp in the room since we were three adults.

I just returned from being at this hotel for a week. I traveled with my mom who is a young 85 years old and when we arrived (60 Zloty from airport by cab) we were greeted and given a room immediately. We were also given a plethora of information about breakfast, which we added with our room and the boat rides, which leave every hour and can drop you off, and information all about the hotel and the surrounding area. When we got to our room it looked really comfortable, but the bathtub was so high...
The property is overall excellent. However housekeeping is in consistent. Beds were not made up nicely and with a 5 night stay, it would have been to have fresh sheets once. Soap dispensers not kept full - but most hotels fail at this. Room and shower were great. Location was good with fantastic views of the old city. No regrets staying here, but the hotel does need to tighten up housekeeping.
Extremely convenient to the old town. Not a hotel per se but more like an apartment but the property office as 24 x7 and the staff was very professional and helpful. The only issue was that the room was not serviced for the 3 nights I was there. I don't quite know why and although not a huge problem need to be so advised. Also charged 70 zl for a cleaning fee after one departed. Overall would recommend the property and would stay there again.
