We loved our stay in Gdansk at the Podewils. It is slightly out of the main historic district, and hence very quiet, although the main district is available with a 5 minute walk. Parking was an issue and FreeNow driver had hard time finding the hotel. I ended up leaving my car in another area of town and used taxi to get in.

The location of this hotel is excellent, but as Rick Steves notes in his guidebook, it’s a very basic accommodation. My room stank like a wet dog, so I slept with my windows open to air out the place. Wow. 11/10. Had such a great stay here. The location vis a vis Main Town Gdansk is super convenient, the breakfast is EXCELLENT. Very helpful and friendly staff. The triple attic room was perfect for my stay with my mom, was nice to have a little extra space. I will probably visit Gdansk again and I will certainly be staying here.

The property is overall excellent. However housekeeping is in consistent. Beds were not made up nicely and with a 5 night stay, it would have been to have fresh sheets once. I just returned from being at this hotel for a week. I traveled with my mom who is a young 85 years old and when we arrived (60 Zloty from airport by cab) we were greeted and given a room immediately. We were also given a plethora of information about breakfast, which we added with our room and the boat rides, which leave every hour and can drop you off, and information all about the hotel and the surrounding area.
