As a travel ball parent for basketball & baseball, we have stayed in our share of hotel rooms. This hotel blows EVERYONE out of the water. The location is perfect, its close to stores if you forgot something as well as tons of different restaurants. The staff was so friendly & accommodating. The breakfast was amazing both mornings & the access to water/ice to fill up with cup/bottles is awesome too. We brought our dog (which we dont normally do) and they had a great area our back for him! We will be back!!

The room was very clean. I was surprised and disappointed. I hadn’t brought my slippers because I did not know it was a non-carpeted surface, which made it cooler to the person walking barefooted. The staff that I met was superb! Even the housekeeper made an effort to understand what I wanted and very kind about it. I received two tasks to make sure I knew to contact them if needed. That indeed was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices and healthy foods. My grandson loved pancake maker! Everything was very tasty.

Everything was pretty good except for the pool being kind of small and the kids being very rowdy. I wish we would have known kind of what weekend to go there or that there was a limit on who could go to the pool when. We would have planned it on a different weekend where we had the pool, more free.If we would have known there was gonna be everybody in their grandma puppy dog there.

I realize this is a brand new hotel, so everything was new and clean, but it was the attitude of the staff that made our staff wonderful. We come to see family in Grimes quite often so we will be staying at this hotel again.

The room was clean, well stocked, beds were comfy. 5 starts for that! The issues I had were with their policies. This hotel has a policy to automatically charge all credit cards early in the day when they are full. I had an agreement with Hotels.com to pay at the hotel but was charged anyway prior to my arrival. PLUS, I was then automatically checked in 3 hours (!!) prior to my arrival without my knowledge or authorization. This was after I called the hotel about the unauthorized room charge. The general manager was nice, but would only offer to charge another card while I waited for the refund on the card she already charged. I refused. When I finally arrived (9:15pm) and asked who received the keys upon check in, I was told they automatically check everyone in at 9 pm, regardless of the customers location. I was actually checked in around 6pm, shortly after my phone call with the general manager. They did leave a couple of small gift bags of beverages/ snacks, which being diabetic, I could only enjoy the water. The note apologizing for the "inconvenience" would've been appreciated had this been a true inconvenience and not a lack of business integrity. These 2 policies are ethically questionable if not borderline illegal. I will be researching further to prevent others from being taken advantage of in this manner. Customers should be aware of these policies prior to booking. I would've booked elsewhere had I known.

We had an excellent stay here! We got to enjoy the pool for a little bit and even though it is smaller, it is perfect for relaxing. The room was perfect for us and breakfast was excellent. We loved the lobby, the kids got to play tons of games while we got to hang out with friends. The complementary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and flavored water was wonderful for the kids as well. There are also plenty of snacks and other drinks that you can purchase as well that are not just your regular vending machine snacks. The staff was very friendly and stayed on top if everything. We will absolutely be back for another stay!

The staff were all great. Everything was clean. We stayed for 5 nights. There was no room for our suitcases and no dresser. I think there were six hangers and a bench we could put stuff under and several hooks on the wall. No coffee pot or microwave. Bed and bedding were nice but pillows were not. The heating and cooling system was very annoying. The air was blowing almost all the time even when we turned it to off. The bathroom light had a sensor light so if you didn’t turn the other light on it would go off when you were in the shower. I guess it is a minimalist motel. Maybe I missed that in the advertising. Again, the staff were great. It was not convenient for multiple people for multiple nights in our opinion.

It is a very nice place, but keep in mind with the baseball/softball teams staying there it gets pretty busy. The kids take over the pool and lobby. It wasn’t an issue for us but I could see how it might bother some guests. Every thing was very clean and well taken care of.
