I have stayed at hotel 81 Dickson many times and find the staff friendly and helpful. Location is ideal as it is close to the MRT stations. Ample of choice for meals.

2 Star Budget Hotel

First day, the room was not clean at all. The bed sheet and bed has dust . Bathroom has mold . I guess the room was never been clean at all when we checked late because we arrived early morning. We stayed for 4 nights. For the price, I guess the team of the hotel should check each room first the cleanliness before they allowed the guest to enter the room.

I was happy with the vicinity but the condition of hotel wasnt great, there was a scent on the first day including the noise. I was not able to sleep proper;y but the scent within the room was overpowering. It needs to be taken care of before it becomes hazard, the only extra star is for the staff more importantly the manager serving. The rest looks uninterested.

Didn't have a great stay for a few reasons. We stayed on the 60th birthday of Singapore, which made the hotel very busy. The lobby was packed full of people and the staff seemed stressed out. The building is very old and needs a remodel. The bathrooms are very small, where you use the toilet and shower at the same time. Excessive use of bleach to clean the room made my eyes sting. The air con temp was hard to control so I was very cold during the night. I have stayed in a few of the Hotel 81 locations but this was the worst one. I wouldn't stay here again.

There was no window in our room, which made it feel very enclosed and isolated. There was also small ants in the room. We did not see any other bugs than the ants. The bed was hard as well, and the room was small. Exept from that it was okay, but a week there was a bit too long. The food nearby was amazing, there was also walking distance to MRT and shopping centres.

I stayed at our hotel for two nights. Maybe because the number of days of stay was short, there was no particular problem because there was an explanation in advance that the bed would not be made at the time of check-in. The room was neither good nor bad, it was a normal room. I think the location is very good because it has good access to multiple stations. The response of the front desk was also very good.

Had a room without a window. It smelt musty. The room’s air conditioning ducts might need a good clean. The bathroom was a wet room, the layout meant that using the shower wet the whole floor as well as part of the sink and toilet bowl. The sealant on the walls in the bathroom showed signs of mould. However, it was a good location and the reception area looked good. The staff were efficient and helpful. I would certainly consider staying in a Hotel 81 hotel again, but would probably opt for a room with a window.

Habían hormigas y cucarachas pequeñas, las habitaciones olían a humedad. Los ductos y salidas de aire acondicionado estaban sucios. Los baños no tienen ducha independiente, no tienen tacho de basura. El televisor no funciona. Se escucha todo el ruido que hacen los demás huéspedes, en nuestro caso tuvimos noches con niños llorando, personas hablando fuerte, etc. que incomoda al descanso.

We had a terrible experience staying in this hotel. Unfriendly staff, dirty room and the room was not clean. We woke up with cockroaches around our bed and the next day we woke up with water leakage around our bed Wotif overcharged charged us unfairly. Not recommended for anyone from our side.
