The Creston Hotel is such a hidden gem if you are looking to stay near all the Shibuya madness while also being near the calmer parts of the craziness. The staff were extremely friendly, check-in was a breeze. The breakfast was very delicious, with two options being offered (Japanese style and Western style). Would definitely be returning and staying here when staying in Shibuya!

The location is perfect—everything is nearby, from shops to restaurants, making it super convenient to get around. The rooms are on the smaller side, but that’s completely normal for Tokyo. First and foremost, the staff are extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is in a great area, quiet but walking distance to shibuya center. There are a few cute restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area with a local feel. However the hotel is dated and has a terrible smell of cigarette smoke in all the rooms. Granted, I mistakenly booked a smoking room, and on my third night the staff was kind enough to move me to non smoking room but the pungent cigarette smell was still there. I got physically ill, and couldn’t breathe properly or sleep comfortably. So if you don’t mind cigarette smoke smell the hotel is fine, otherwise I’d stay elsewhere.
