The hotel is very nice. A nice restaurant with very good food, and great views of the city One thing they could do to improve is provide at least one bottle of water in the room when you arrive, since it is recommended not to drink the tap water.

I enjoyed my stay at the Apollon hotel, the room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They serve food upstairs, including a breakfast buffet, which was very convenient and affordable. The hotel is very close to the overground and metro station which made it ideal for getting around Athens. As a female solo traveller I didn’t feel the most safe returning to the hotel late at night as the area around here (and most of Athens) is rough, however as the walk to the hotel from the station is so short and on a main road, I think this is okay. Overall I think this was a great hotel that’s very convenient to look around main town Athens

Great hotel at the prices. Overall a medium size hotel with just big enough rooms. Very clean. The hostess is helpful and friendly. Has a restaurant on roof, great food at reasonable pricedl. Has a breakfast buffet for 7 Euro though I did not try it. Something unusual in the small tub, there id a molded seat, which get in the way if taking shower. Why have a molded seat, just take it out. Safety.

While it is true the area is a little run down, it is perfectly safe to walk around day and night. Like London, Athens does have areas which are run down but still safe. The hotel itself is great. Friendly staff, decent rooms and a good restaurant. For what I paid, I have no complaints!

Some of the staff needed sone warning up to at first, but they were very accommodating overall. The rooftop restaurant was a nice view even though it was a view of train station. The breakfast was extremely limited. Not a bad place to stay for one night. The only thing that absolutely needs work are the beds. I had to put a pillow under my hip because i could feel the bed springs underneath.

Postives - It was close to the train station. Breakfast was fabulous. The view from the restaurant rocked. The balcony on our room. Negatives - There were two light fixtures that were hanging without bulbs. Laminate torn. No shower curtain. It looked scary. Our room wasn't actually in the hotel, it was a few buildings down. Just needs some loving care.
