It's a place to flop in a quiet, economically struggling but beautiful area. Adjacent to the hospital, walkable to local shops, restaurant / bar on premises, easy access to Delaware River. Basic amenities - everything reminds of great-grandma's home including the tepid shower, the wash basin in your bedroom, and the low bed with a springy mattress. Don't be picky - support the local economy.

This is a wonderful historic hotel. Don't expect Hilton crispness, doors are older, lock and key, tempo rental hot water, but simply old school and charming. Lines and bedding were crisp and clean. Very old town but what a building, almost two hundred years old.

Great downtown Honesdale, PA location. At check in I was told to park in the Wayne Memorial Hospital lot which is shared with the Hotel. Check in was pleasant/easy. Stairs to 2nd floor room. At end of day rush hour a bit noisy from the busy street/intersection. Room could use a thorough cleaning and some updates. Older mattress well past its' useful life. Sink water had mislabelled Hot/Cold faucets. Water had an odor? A/C worked OK but curtain blocked the flow if closed. Shower head and knob needs immediate replacing. Toilet tended to have a stuck flapper valve and water would continue running. Some locals outside the Hotel's Restaurant were loud and smoking. Close to Main Street for several dining choices. Believe I'll try another spot next visit to Honesdale, PA. Person at checkout Desk in the morning seemed new and untrained.

Aging Beauty needs Love

An historic hotel that once had Abraham Lincoln as a guest, is in need of some TLC and renovations to restore it to its former glory. Our room was clean, good linens but room walls, flooring, bathroom fixtures and overall finishes are worn and need a serious overhaul.

Hotel Wayne is a very charming hotel with a very homy feel. It’s got a very comfortable little restaurant and bar downstairs. It’s one of the oldest buildings in the town and has a lot of history to it, including some ghost apparently. It doesn’t have the most modern amenities and conveniences, but it’s clean and well-maintained and in the best possible location close to everything downtown. Despite quirks like having to turn the TV on by pushing a button on the back of the TV, having to control the room temperature by twisting a knob on a baseboard heater, and having to be very careful in adjusting the shower water temperature because the temperature jumps or drops very quickly with just a slight twist of the knob, I would still much prefer to stay here then I would at some bland corporate cookie cutter hotel.

This is a quaint, histoical hotel. I loved the real keys, the restaurant's atmosphere and the food was awesome. The toilet in our room kept running, but in fairness, i didn't inform anyone. I loved the artwork, the woodwork and the atmosphere of the hotel. I would stay there again
