I often stay at this hotel, right next to the train station and rooms always include breakfast. Clean and quiet rooms make a great relaxing stay.

Good but Could be Perfect

I stayed her for 3 nights and had a large room with comfortable twin beds, decent bathroom, air conditioning, TV and acceptable wifi. There are also several common areas and a dining room where breakfast is served. Breakfast is a bit ho-hum with tinned fruit, flavoured yogurt, cereal (no muesli), bread, white rolls, Portuguese style croissants, cake, ham and cheese. There are also coffee and juice machines. The hotel is located less than a minute’s walk from both the bus and train stations. A bargain is the €0.90 trip to Lamego on Route 103, the scenery (along with Lamego) are worth the trip. Also worthwhile is the train trip up the Douro. The room would have been perfect if it had a small fridge and kettle or if these plus a microwave were available in one of the common areas. That said the room was very good value for money.

Great service

Both the front desk person and the manager were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate all our needs and fix any issues we had. We are looking forward to our next visit here.
