Stayed here while visiting Nikko. This is a single family home. What can we say. We loved the place. Very clean and safe. Bedroom upstairs more like a loft with 2 queen beds. One main restroom with the onsen and walk in shower. Also has the washer/dryer combo in place. Another restroom with toilet and small sink. I absolutely loved this hotel. It was so beautiful, the onsen a bar and everything about it. The staff was amazing. I would definitely stay here again! Just know if you get dinner out go early and make sure you realize a lot of the great restaurants are off the main road!
We had Unit C and it was very comfortable for our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids (13,11,6)). There are directions on how to use everything. The beds and bedding are incredible comfortable. The bath tub gets nice and hot! The kitchen has all the dishes, utensils, cups, etc. you might need. I do wish there was some coffee available for the mornings, but now we know to bring our own. The surround sound projector TV is cool for access to streaming services.

This spot was amazing all the way around. Like others have said given that it is a journey to get to, spend at least 2 nights. It was the perfect spot to slow down and relax. The food is amazing whether in the fancy dining room or in the cafe. The onsens overlooking nature and the waterfall were spectacular. Staff member April really made our stay great given her recommendations, explaining and teaching about local cuisines offered. The service is 5 star. I’d definitely return !!
Such a neat hotel nestled besides a picturesque river. The hotel feels nostalgic but very well maintained. The entire surrounding community is a throwback Show era town. Helpful staff at the reception desk and restaurant. Breakfast and lunch rotated between 2 menus but options were plentiful. This is my second visit to this hotel and it is in such a convenient location. Be sure to explore the Kinugawaonsen station and surrounding reservoirs and rural communities.
A wonderful experience. They made our first visit to the area a wonderful experience. The large onsen was just what our group needed after hiking and walking all day in Nikko. We all slept amazing. Quiet, clean and excellent service from the staff. Highly recommended.
