The restaurant staff on arrival were very welcoming. We were provided with complimentary coffee and some cake. We were able to park beneath the property with lift access to the bistro that also acts as a reception. When booking in advance of our stay we were given the name of the room (Albis), a superior apartment on the second floor but this was not the room we were offered on arrival by the restaurant staff who greeted us. The room allocated (Titlis) was on the first floor. When entering the room the safe battery was bleeping and the staff member kindly changed it for us. The room had not been properly cleaned, The coffee machine took six operations to get clean water running through it, most furniture surfaces were extremely dusty, thick dust that is including on the bed frame and on the light over the bed. There were long dark hairs on one of the towels draped over the bath. There were small mosaic tiles missing from the floor in the shower room. Furniture surfaces were marked and scratched. We were very uncomfortable, so sent two email messages to the hotel (Vreni Ginger, host who we never met) on the first night. We left the hotel mid morning after breakfast the next day deciding to cut short our stay there and book elsewhere. The hotel agreed to refund the night we didn’t stay there but charged us for the night we did. We were told that they would have been prepared to upgrade our room but this was only offered after we had left mid morning.

This is a charming boutique hotel overlooking Zurich. I arrived late in the evening, and the staff was welcoming. The room was perfect, it was more a studio than your typical hotel room. I could have stayed there much longer. The hotel is in the woods, with a great view overlooking Zurich. I used public transport and as long as you can walk up the stairs, it's the perfect spot. The breakfast was very nice too!

Initially it was a little confusing that there was no front desk. However, we realized and were informed that since it is a hotel with few rooms, there really is no need for a 24 front desk. Instead, the staff in the Bistro act as front desk and truly are jack of all trades. All staff was super kind, helpful and pleasant. Hotel is next to a famous theatre so at night, there is a lot of movement. On nights when the theatre is not running, be sure to make reservations for dinner or the kitchen closes very early. Hotel is also super close to public transportation. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were pleased.

Lovely small Hotel

We stayed one night in the Hotel and we got very warm and friendly welcome from the lovely host Sandra. She was super friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious but would need some updating and the cleanliness wasn't 100% in the room. The location was great, beautiful views and a nice ride down to the city with funicular. Breakfast was really good and for the request Sandra had soya yougurt and soya milk for us which was super nice. Thank you for everything, we will be back.

The hotel is comprised of very large self contained apartments which are enermous. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave and cooking facilities available. Free underground car parking with lift access directly to hotel. Cold buffet breakfast with usual fresh bread, rolls. crossaints, cereal, fruit and cooked meats available, egg based dishes are cooked to order, I had scrambled eggs with bacon both mornings which were excellent. The staff are fantastic and make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. Good location, 10 minute drive into Zürich town centre. I would highly recommend and would stay again. The only negative is that the restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay.

Fantastic!

Our room was amazing with floor to ceiling Windows and high ceilings. It really felt like our own apartment. The area is away from the crowds and in an upscale neighborhood. Dinner at the restaurant was great! The staff was great and helpful. The bathroom layout is the only downfall as it does not feel private.

Tolles Hotel in schöner Lage.

Sehr schönes Hotel in sehr schöner Lage. 30 Meter von der Bergstation Rigi so das das Auto in der Tiefgarage stehen bleibeiben kann. Sehr große und gut eingerichtete Zimmer der Offene Sanitärbereich hat nicht gestört. Eine Nespressomaschine auf dem Zimmer hat den Tag abgerundet. Als quasi Stadtrundfahrt ist die Linie 4 der Tram zu Empfehlen.
