This was a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary and we could not have been more impressed with this establishment. The hotel was absolutely stunning and the staff was unbelievably attentive. They had champagne waiting in our room. The hotel restaurant The Independent is one of the best restaurants in town and they made our dinner so special. Thanks to the entire staff. We will be back.

The George is a wonderful hotel right in the middle of downtown Georgetown. The hotel has a wonderful dining room and an outdoor bar. The decor has a lot of southern charm. I have stayed in the hotel a number of times and highly recommend it.

Very Nice and clean. However, its for me to find the value for the cost. There is no breakfast, no pool, and no work-out area. Being on the water and within walking distance to a few a restaurant was very nice. I also tried to move my stay to the next week, unfortunately they would not allow me to do so. This would be a nice couples stay, but wasnt great for my business stay.
