For what this place charges, it’s a steal
The location is up the hill towards the thermal baths, and there is plenty of stores and restaurants in walking distance
The facilities are average at best, but what do you expect for that price?
The staff was absolutely incredible, especially the young front desk and woman who cooked the breakfast
They were very, very responsive and proactive in making my stay enjoyable

People at the reception were really nice and very accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable and the shower never run out of hot water. Some hotels run out of hot water or the shower pump runs very slow at night; this was never an issue at Pakarina hotel. So it is a big plus!

Overall this place was what you pay for.
The staff was friendly, breakfast was awesome, very easy location. They let us keep our bags there before checking in
But, the place was loud, all night there was music, people talking, the stairs were loud. By the time the music stops the morning movement noises are present.
Also in the showers there is an opening bigger than a shoe box size into the stairwell, if someone is staying across the hall they can see you shower and anyone in the stairs

Wow. What an interesting experience. First of all, the advertised amenities did not exist. There was no laundry. There was no air conditioning. In fact, the "window" that was shown in the picture opened up to the multi-level stairwell in the middle of the building! It was so stuffy when ran a shower the bathroom was soaking wet and we had to step carefully so we would not trip. I will be fair, however, and say that the beds were very comfortable and the location was convenient. The front desk people were very helpful.

Bad staff
It is very well located, but the owners are more concerned with their merchandising shop next door.
I asked for hot water one night and was told they would have to make it happen and it takes time, I didn't ask for coffee or anything complicated just hot water and I didn't see their intention to help. The bathroom window was open and the other bedrooms could see you if you don't cover it with something.
The price is affordable but that doesn't mean you don't have hot water.
Good location on the main street of the village.
They should be more considerate of guests.

The people are nice but this place is just a dump. Do not stay. A lot of issues. Also, in the most inconvenient part of town. Lugging your belongings all the way up the steps in elevation is not fun.

Worst place I've ever stayed
My room had mold everywhere including the sheets. There was a 2x2 foot hole in the shower had head height that you could look through into the neighbors shower. The bathroom door didn't close. When we asked to change rooms we were not able. When we asked for the hole to be covered they did not. They didn't give us towels or toilet paper when we asked. We spent our second night in another hotel because it was so unliveable and the hotel wouldn't reimburse us

Not worth it
Hotel Aquas Calliente
The hotel is at the top, which means 2 things:
1. You may be challenged by the climb when you make it all the way to the hotel.
2. The street you stay on is a street full of street vendors who will either sell you massages or drinks and food at the nearby restaurants and bars.
The hotel itself is not much to write home about - it's a simple hotel, with a simple breakfast.
The rooms smell musty and are generally cold, where when you take a shower, your towel doesn't have time to dry until the next day and remains wet and cold.
There was an extremely high level of noise when I was there - there was banging and banging on tables all day and someone was playing drums nearby.
For my part, I don't really like either the hotel or the service, but the hotel met all my needs, since the only thing I need a hotel for is to have a place to sleep - which was about to fail when the receptionist told me that my room had been canceled. But when I showed her my booking via hotels.com, my room suddenly wasn't canceled.
The receptionist seemed grumpy and indifferent/tired of her job, but again, it could also be language difficulties that made the difference.
The breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee, a glass of juice, 2 dry buns and an apple or banana.
