We stayed in a 500 series unit. It’s was basically a small hotel room but we prioritized balcony with beautiful view (but no privacy). Units in 400 series have much more room but not a good water view. Was disappointed with 10:00 checkout and that they did not offer any breakfast options, restaurant is not open, Other than that our stay was great and loved watching boats go by. Small beach area for swimming, nice bonfire pit with lots of wood, and ample boat parking.

Loved this place! Less commercial vs. other hotels and has the charm of a 70’s Inn. Room was comfortable and fairly basic but good value. The beer garden deck was nice just to sit back and relax and watch the boats go by. I would highly recommend this Inn and we will definitely be back.

What a special place! We extended our stay for an additional night because we were enjoying ourselves. Our room by the tennis courts was clean and comfortable. The view of the water from the property was beautiful. Convenient restaurant and bar on site. The access to Dollar Lake made for a sweet morning walk. The staff were very friendly and obviously working so hard to make sure everyone was having the best stay! We look forward to another stay at Chanticleer in the future!

We loved our overnight stay at The Chanticleer. We had book the reservation for the wrong day and the owner(?) was very accommodating in helping us resolve 5he issue. The Inn itself was such a quaint peaceful throwback - reminding us of childhood trips long ago. Beautiful lake views from our room and a spot on dinner recommendation rounded out a perfect evening stop on our way to UP for a little getaway. Highly recommend The Chanticleer for families couples or anyone just wanting to unwind and commune….

Parking was right in front of property. Restaurant and bar was closed due to off season. We love it there. Saw alot of deer,a fox and alot of eagles. Room was standard and simple, but clean, and the views were wonderful. Staff were very friendly. Plenty to do outside on the property: corn hole, fireplace, pier, sitting areas looking over the lake, hammocks. Will definitely stay again.
