The hotel is in a great location just on the edge of Funchal centre. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the ocean with beautiful views. Our only issue was that the bed was very firm, although this was cured when the hotel added a mattress topper to the beds after mentioning this fact to Expedia.

Great stay. Did book a superior room on the top floor so had our own balcony. A very substantial buffet breakfast that will keep you going all day. Spar across the road for snack and drinks.
