The staff at the Aloft was super-friendly, and the location in uptown Charlotte is great. And while I expect noise in a city, the design of the room, with high ceilings and a "loft" feel, means that there's a LOT of noise, both from adjoining rooms and the outside. We knew exactly when the people in the room next to us came home (about 3 AM) and exactly what they were doing in the room (they had fun). Again, great friendly staff, room was clean and exactly what we expected, I just wish there was any sort of noise dampening/privacy.

Stayed in room 1518. Come carpet tiles were sticking up, and would catch your foot as you walked by, and the toilet wasn’t fastened down, so it would twist and clunk whenever you sat down. Staff was very friendly.

O had an amazing time there. Staff was friendly and informative upon check in. Even at shift change staff was very accommodating and helpful despite the bustle of the crowd. Hotel was in a good location for restaurants and to see a show. Rooms were adequate but needed maintenance. Remote blinds did not work, water pressure was low and sink was clogged. Friends had to switch rooms as their AC did not work. Lots of street noise even on the 12th floor. Pot smell was very prevalent.
