I can't tell you how much I love Luton Hoo, it grounds, trees, and peace. I wish the house and the staff well over the next 3 years refurbishment. Madga, Chris and Pooja were particularly wonderful but the hotel's staff are so passionate and wonderful and it really shows. This was our 5th visit and I can't wait for our 6th. Thank you Luton Hoo team so much!

Amazing stay in a wonderful hotel. The room and grounds were amazing. Didn't get to sample the included spa area but will definitely do that next time. A perfect stay and one I would highly recommend.

10/10 Exceptional

Luton Hoo is a fabulous hotel. The building is a work of art, and the food & beverage are excellent quality (and sensibly priced). The crowning feature of the hotel is the people who work there. The staff are are friendly, well-informed and professional. They are a credit to the hotel and great ambassadors for the brand/

Shame it is closing soon

It is a lovely hotel and such a shame it is shutting in a few months. Our experience was not as great as the first time as a lot of drinks were not available, and there is only one restaurant left on site. We were not given any slippers in the spa, house keeping didn’t refill the shower gel and shampoo and there was just not enough staff to serve at the bar.

Gorgeous hotel, very well maintained throughout. Stunning grounds. We had a fabulous stay

4/10 Fair

Be surprised if this hotel lasts another 3 months!

Beautiful grounds, view from the room. Apart from that definitely not 5 star. We arrived to having to lug our suitcase up the beautiful stairs at the entrance whilst the reception guy was dealing with a deliveroo driver. At the very least I would have expected, pardon me one moment, just let me deal with this and I’ll be right with you! We realised in the bar why someone would want deliveroo as no bar snacks/light bites available, no room service and if you want maybe we can get a starter from the restaurant menu, but nothing more! Room ok, very tired. Breakfast, we were shown to the table ordered tea, nothing came, no one came to take an eggs order, until we prompted. Checkout, no one to help with luggage again. When asked how are stay was, we said, just about ok, receptionist didn’t ask anything about it.

10/10 Exceptional

Wonderful stately hotel building and excellent servicel. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. We had a very comfortable stay with our dog in the Park area of the hotel. The swimming pool and spa area was lovely and the grounds around the hotel are of outstanding beauty. We ate at the Brasserie in the stable block. The food was delicious although quite pricey.
Alexandra, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful and well maintained property. Inside is as gorgeous as outside. Staff are polite and courteous.
TERRY, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

The food if you could call it that was disgusting. We ordered what they call lunch!!! choice for a 5 star hotel is dreadful, we had to have a burger!! for my partners birthday lunch as the other choice was a sandwich. On the dinner menu I chose artichoke risotto, the rice was not cooked and the artichoke consisted of 3 outside leaves that were burned totally not just chared as stated, no artichoke in the dish at all,and it was tepid at best,as was the soup. .The room was very ordinary and a long walk from the main building and with no opening windows. Pretentious , totally overpriced rip off.

Lovely

Great service and staff. Nothing bad to say, some things like sink taps and pool chairs need replacing but otherwise spotless and lovely atmosphere. Shame the rock garden was overgrown.

8/10 Very good

This place is always lovely to stay, unfortunately we were let down with the restaurant booking due to Easter. Having said that we were very nicely compensated and had what was a fabulous meal in the alternative restaurant. The staff are all exceptional too, the room yet again blew us away. Pure class, luxury witb beautiful surroundings. Luton Hoo is my favourite hotel.
Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall enjoyed our short group break. Staff were friendly polite but on few ocassion hard to get hold off staff via in room telephone and their normal phone line. Breakfast service was good, would have liked to have visited their restaurants more for conveniance and better experience but due to limited dietary choices we drove out to nearby restaurants on some days
Mohammed, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Memorable.

This stay was part of a special and personal break for my partner and was significant for him. it was also his Birthday. It was beautiful and we had an amazing room. Staff were friendly, attentive and approachable. Thank you for making this stay wonderful - it meant a lot to my partner who benefitted from being able to revisit the Mansion in a different way - it meant more than you can know.
Annette, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Dire

Standards fell well short of expectations for its reputed 5-star status. This is definitely not a spa, nor was it in any way a relaxing spa experience. Pool area was cold, poorly maintained, dirty, untidy. Restaurants were closed or full; lounge food was very delayed and Luke warm once arrived. Staff were very pleasant and doing their very best, whilst recognising (and saying to us) the hotel was ill managed and couldn’t cope. Room was ok, stifling hot, dusty around and under bed, old and tired. We wasted £350.
James, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Its noot 5 star. Very very expensive. Not worth the money. Pool was cold. Food average but extortionate
Philippa, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Stop over to london

On our way to london, stop over with dog Staff absolutely lovely, but the hotel has only just been taken over i think 2021 and just needs a bit of love and attention. It said it was dog friendly yes they gave us a room downstairs with a garden exit but no where to eat with your dog except outside golf restaurant. At night not a good idea because dark and cold
michael, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible staff and experience

Terrible experience. Staff were extremely rude and made me and my family feel unwelcome. Wouldn’t recommend. Breakfast was terrible too.
1-night trip

6/10 Good

Disappointing stay.

Room tired - only a double bed in a 5 star property expect at least a king. Room booked said view of garden - we had a wall and a tree. Housekeeping trolley remained outside our room for most of our stay, as did trays from room service that were not ours. Paying rather a lot of money for the 2 nights would have expected at least breakfast in the mansion, where we were staying but we were told to eat in the brasserie. When booking in staff wanted to hold another £200 for incidentals - I am happy for them to hold the payment for the room, but always prefer to pay as I go so that I keep an eye on spending - this was agreed by reception, but it didn't go down well. On a positive - the building is stunning and the door men and staff at dinner and breakfast were lovely. I stay in many hotels around the country - I really feel this was not worth the money paid and consequently disappointed as I had booked this as a special occasion. Will not be returning.
