The staff were fabulous on reception, the communal areas were okay, but the room really let itself down. For a hostel you’d expect basic, but the beds were metal and squeaked, felt as though the ladder would come off the fastenings, the curtains were ripped/not attached by the rings, could do with maintenance, the bathroom has mould and poor hygiene with wall paint, dirty tiles and limescale build up, I didn’t feel I wanted to shower in there. The beds themselves have a box cupboard on the wall - I hit my knees and legs on it multiple times and am u sure the point of this box, it is in the sleeping bunk so seems a hazard if anything. The height of the bunks are also very low. I wouldn’t return to stay despite the staff being very helpful, the room was below par
