For $CA 450 per night it really needed to deliver much better quality. Yes it’s an old hotel but it’s been poorly maintained and attempts to save money are evident. Cheap furnishings, lack of shelving in bathroom. Awkward closet door blocking passage by the bed. When we arrived in the afternoon the main floor was pretty dark. Even though the restaurant wasn’t open for service, some lights on could have warmed the atmosphere. The bed was comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It could be a grand place and should be for the price. Felt sad.

Parking was great but definitely needed to book will in advance. There was no parking for one of our nights but there was a free municipal parking lot about 5 minute walk away. It worked out well. The TV was roku which didn't have many live channels. ie news. I would stay there again. It was close to theatres and great food and a walk along the lake.

The renewed Windsor Hotel is a gem in the heart of Stratford. Walking distance to the Avon, to restaurants and shops, yummy continental breakfast included in the room. Overall, the stay was good! Perfect hotel for a short stay in Stratford. The location is great and close to all the main dinning and shops, including Avon Theatre. The walking distance to Coopers lot (if you're unable to get parking on site) was manageable and not far. The staff was friendly and the overall upkeep of the hotel was very nice! The room was spacious, except for the bathroom (limited counter room and very narrow space between the toilet & sink). Only area of disappointment in the stay was the front staff not letting us know at the time of check in that the TV in our room was not working, even though they were already aware of the issue from the previous guests and that the tv needed replacing given where it was broken. We were only made aware of this when we approached the front desk looking for batteries for the remote because we tried to use the tv.
