Hotel stay

The hotel is located a walking distance of about 25 mins from many of the touristy areas. You have to walk at an incline to get to it. Ubers were very cheap and much quicker. Our room fit 2 large suitcases, 2 carryone suitcases, plus 2 backpacks, with plenty room to walk around. The shower only had a half door with plenty of water pressure but varying water temperatures during your shower. One second it is hot, then next cold and it continues to cycle that way. Sometimes it is fine - perhaps has to do with how many ppl are showering? The floors and room were clean. There was this spot outside the elevator door that needed to be carpet cleaned. The breakfast was good and much appreciated each day.

Hotel location out of the centre but neighbourhood interesting especially around Marques. We used buses and metro but walked more than anything. The front of house staff were always charming and helpful. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom spacious.

Tryp Centre Hotel is safe, clean, room is quite spacious considered in Europe city. Because of its centrally in located, most tour companies will be able to offer pick up and drop off. We walked to most Porto attractions. We took the tours for places where driving is required. Would recommend this hotel

It was easy enough to find free overnight parking very near. Front desk staff was very accommodating' free ice etc. good size & clean rooms. If you are even only mildly fit most of the interesting sites around Porto are walkable. If not there is a metro station not too far, & busses... Came for 1 night & stayed for 2.

The tv and internet wasn’t working, the reception did not care much about it. While I wanted some help the reception guy was taking private call on the phone while I was just waiting there. Other than that location of the hotel was ok, breakfast just fine and the room was very clean.

Rude Reception

We will never return to this hotel because of the rude way way we were treated by a couple of the reception staff. It was also uncomfotable to watch other customers and a young lady staff member being treated in a slightly agressive manner. This is not a cross-cultural issue because nowhere else in Portugal were we ever subjected to the bad moods of staff. Other than that the room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay.
