Both rooms had strong, unpleasant odors. The carpets were outdated and emitted a foul smell whenever we entered. One bathroom reeked of urine. Surprisingly, the smoking room smelled better than the non-smoking one. We were in town to bury my daughter, and it was extremely upsetting to deal with such conditions. I did speak up and was offered another room, but it was even worse. We ended up buying cleaning products ourselves to make the space bearable. It was distressing that, during a time of grief, we had to clean instead of focus on mourning.
