We had a late check in after a concert and I made the mistake of doing a quick google review check prior to booking. Initially, the reviews looked to be great which was hard to find in that area. Upon check in, the receptionist gave us keys to a room that was either occupied or dirty. So we trudged back and she seemed annoyed that she had to give us another room. The elevator was filthy and premises did not look very clean at all. We got settled into our room and ready for bed. When I flushed the toliet it started overflowing and water was shooting out from the tank. It immediately started flooding the bathroom so we grabbed our belongings and ran downstairs to tell reception. I told her she may want to call for help ASAP, but she slowly took us to another room instead and that toliet was plugged as well. Yikes! At this point, my kids were tired, scared and I asked if we could simply get a refund and leave. She said no, it had already processed. So we finally got into a room with a working toliet near the previous room which had completely flooded by the time we walked back by it. The guest underneath us also had water coming thru the ceiling. The entire situation was so unprofessional and sketchy. I kept telling myself we only had to sleep there! I will say the manager was very friendly and apologetic the next morning, I do feel bad for her but I'm upset I was not allowed to be refunded. $140 for one night in this hole was absolutely crazy.
