We stayed at Lancemore Werribee Mansion last night (18/10/26) and we enjoyed our time there. Superior Room (314) with shower over bathtub was clean and comfortable. Large towels. Room had a kettle, but no coffee machine and a few mini bar items.
We had drinks at the bar, also breakfast (this morning 19/10/26) and dinner last night at Joseph's restaurant (18/10/26). Review follows:-
Dinner: Welcomed with a warm, friendly smile by Veronica. Although there were only two other guests dining there, we waited 35 minutes before receiving bread and creamed butter! We had ordered our meal immediately after being seated, one 2-course meal and one main meal for us both. However, the other 8 guests, whom had arrived after us...were served their entrées before our meals! Hmmm...not happy, as we were both hungry and wanted to have an early dinner.
Food: Ordered one club steak, which arrived with a tiny potato-like croquette and a dab of grainy, burnt onion tapa-like spread and bernaise sauce. Ordered it medium rare...and served that way! Not sure what +$5 added to the cost of the steak represented on the menu?
My husband ordered pork belly, which although was served as 4 small pieces, he felt satisfied.
No sides included in the prices, so they needed to be ordered separately at an extra cost, of course! We ordered potato gratin, which was ok. Overall, a little too pricey for what is served!
Service by Veronica was pleasant. Thank you!
Breakfast: Vegetarians, not catered for!!!
