Good location. Older hotel, stairs had a musty smell to them. We were upgraded to a suite since our room had fruit flies in it. Suite was nice size and comfortable. Was pool side so could get noisy at times. Asked for my room to be made up but no one came to make it.

Staff were great, Very kind and helpful. The building certainly is in need of a make over, though it looks like they have been working on it its in pretty rough shape. We booked a double queen bed room, poolside access. I was surprised at how quiet it was in the room with all the noise in the pool area. The room however was probably one of the smallest i have ever stayed in and has been rather poorly updated. Parking lot was a disaster to say the least. I would book again but think it was overpriced at $200

It was so deceiving by the pics. it's a ghetto. Took my 2 granddaughters there cause it had a pool and a hot tub. It was sess pool. We ended up not spending the night and checked out at 8:00 p.m. and drove back to Edm. The front desk lady couldn't bother to ask why we were leaving and told me to step back while just turning in my key. Do not stay there. Walked around the building and that's what made is leave. Crack alley.

I will begin with the positives: friendly, quick and efficient check-in, bed was comfortable and clean, the room had basic necessities like microwave, fridge, tv, coffee, blowdryer, decent breakfast is included (eggs, pancakes or waffles, sausages, sliced ham (didn’t eat the pork product), oatmeal, toast, coffee, juices, fruit, yoghurt. I was attending a full weekend event in Sylvan Lake, and accommodation there was limited and almost twice the price, so I decided the drive wouldn’t be a big factor and selected this property because it had a fitness centre, pool and hot tub (but didn’t end up using any of the amenities). The hotel is a short walk to a park, with a viewpoint. Opportunities for improvement: entering the property my first thought was omg what happened to this place! The parking lot is wide open, but the asphalt, planters, landscaping, and hotel in general have definitely seen better days!

My kids enjoy soaking in the pool and hot tub.My boy cant contain his happiness in our little cute room -1 queen bed and a mini living room..Very quiet environment and excellent buffet breakfast. Thank you Red Deer Baymont.
